登录Windows Live Messenger失败……

Windows Live Messenger最近一直报错，折腾了n遍都登录不上去，最后还是用下列方法解决的，类似情况的可参考如下：
错误现象为：
登录 Windows Live Messenger 失败，因为服务暂时不可用。请稍候再试。错误代码:880040154 ！
步骤如下：
首先，下载windows install clean up软件，然后安装它。
之后从http://irc.msgplus.net/~jkay/wave3rc/Contacts.msi下载Windows Live Communications Platform 。此时不要安装此程序。
打开 windows install clean up软件，选中Windows Live Communications Platform 这一项并删除它。
然后重新安装Windows Live Communications Platform ，重启windows live messenger就可以登录了。
